About Sky’s the Limit Communications, LLC

Master trainers, motivational speakers and disability employment experts who happen to be blind, David DeNotaris, MA Chief Innovation Officer, and Eileen Rivera Ley, MBA, creator of Blind and Socially Savvy Strengths create and deliver one-of-a-kind training experiences for businesses, organizations, governments and people with disabilities focused on promoting employment and disability inclusion. Through collaborative agreement between STLC and Blind Savvy USA, we offer opportunities to practice power-packed life skills such as: projecting a positive personal image, successful networking, communication skills, informational interviewing, business etiquette, volunteerism, and community engagement.

Their ACE Academy which offers 16 innovative conferences and training experiences, uses a warm and personal podcast/talk show format to engage and educate. These experiences include pre-employment transition training for blind and low vision individuals as well as rehabilitation professionals and employers. These programs are available in-person or online. Some popular offerings are: The ACE  Employment Summit, Career Exploration with O*NET™, Job Readiness, Advocating for Your Financial Future, Advocating for Science, Blind and Socially Savvy, and Blind and Emotionally Savvy. In addition to seminars, ACE Academy offers smaller group training and learning communities, for example: iOS and Android Personal Productivity Learning Communities, Entrepreneurial Boot Camp and Internship Boot Camp where students learn about preparing for work.

Workshops focus on assessment of student skills, personal goal setting, networking with blind peers, and role models and professionals from a variety of fields throughout the country. Wellness, resilience, the ABCs of blindness, note taking, positive collaboration, disability disclosure and requesting accommodations are also reinforced.

Sky’s the Limit Communication’s trainers provide services to agencies and organizations in the following states, among them: Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington state, and Virginia.

ACE Academy helps students grow in confidence, independence and skills as they learn from their blind mentors and peers. They have ample opportunity to overcome loneliness and lack of access through making meaningful connections with others. Students are empowered to believe in themselves and collaborate for problem-solving. They develop self-confidence by completing Capstone Projects such as, creating a Work-Based Learning Plan, hosting a networking reception, or attending an etiquette dinner.
